“This is my story; this is my song…”
“This is my story; this is my song…”
Sometimes we don’t think our story matters and our song is worth singing -but it is. Sadly, we compare our story and song to someone else and feel inferior. Hear me: you are not inferior. Your story matters. Your song matters. Why? Because… You matter.
Your story and song is uniquely yours -having been shaped by life, lessons, and experiences (good or bad). Sharing it is powerful because it helps you connect with others, inspire others, and heal yourself. By telling your story, you show others they are not alone and that’s it’s okay to be real. We could use some… real.
- Overcome addiction? You have a story.
- Been the victim of marital abuse? You have a story.
- Walked through the valley of grief’s shadows? You have a story.
- Struggled with betrayal, church hurt, or misplaced trust? You have a story.
- Faced the gray slush of doubt -yourself, your choices, your faith? You have a story.
Telling your story is sharing the lessons you’ve learned and the challenges you’ve faced. A story about accomplishments, dreams, and failings while attempting to convey something deeper. It’s about proving to the world why you are here and figuring out how you can make a difference.
Your story and song have the potential to make a significant difference in the lives of others. “This is my story; this is my song…”
