Use it; don't let it go to waste!

Our gospel meeting with Don Truex entitled "Extreme Home Makeover"  benefited all of us, now and in the future.  During the meeting, your interest and attendance showed just how important our home and our family relationships are, i.e., husband/wife, parent/child.  Godly families are the foundation to better, more productive lives for God's glory.

Last week, you came, you listened carefully, and now let's put into action the wonderful teaching of God that Don explained so logically.  Children were here, husbands and wives were here, parents/grandparents were here, and future husbands/wives were here.  Starting fresh is a wonderful feeling.  Let each of us start this very week remolding our lives to glorify God, whether we are children obeying our parents, older children honoring our aged parents, couples or singles managing our money in a godly way, parents raising our children in the Lord's way, husbands and wives loving and respecting each other.

Loving, godly families begin with each individual in that family.  Let each individual be the best he/she can be, no matter what your age and no matter what has happened before.  We can have a new zeal to live together as a God-centered unit.  Serve God by serving each other.  Exceptional spouses do not sit around waiting for an invitation to serve. They make themselves aware of the jobs that need to be done and then they seek out opportunities to do them, eagerly and cheerfully. Can't children, parents and grandparents join into that same mind frame? Prefer one another (Romans 12:10; Philippians 2:3)

We thank you for your attendance and interest shown in hearing God's word.  We ask you to continue with your dedication by bringing yourself and your children to classes and worship. Let's increase attendance at all our meetings together.

If you were unable to hear the lessons, Mo has put audio lessons from Don's meeting on our website.  Please encourage your family and neighbors to listen to them.

Our next Gospel meeting will be in the Spring of 2012 with Joe Works from New Jersey. If there is a topic of interest, please let us know.
