There's a place just north of I-495 on Rte 119 that always puts a smile on my face when I go by it. It's Gary's farm stand, which sells Barb's homemade apple pies. The side street it sits on is called Colburn Drive. Now, what's funny about this is that I used to work very closely with a Barb, Gary, and Mike (Colburn) at work. Surely it's just coincidence, but it's always amusing to me that these three should be so closely related to (at the time) three people 1 worked very closely with. .

I still see and hear about these funny coincidences. Paquette is a pretty common name around here, and very so often 1 see it on the side of a truck or some other business (other than, of course Paquette Paving!). I know there is a funny spot up near exit 6 or 5 on Rte 3 that is called "Dugas Convenience Store". On the way to Kieran's one day we saw Poitras street. By my son Dave's school we often drive through the intersection of "Wallace Street" and "Haynes Road". Not a perfect match, but you get the idea. Oh, and of course Mr. Mo can attest that in the last elections held in Groton a lady named Patti Murray was running for town councilor some such thing.

Not long ago I dropped in on The Murphy's just for a visit out of the blue (my wife used to hate doing this, but I am working on her...) on the same evening I happened to run into Kathy Dugas at a restaurant. A week ago we could have literally "run into" the Mayo's on the way to the guitar shop to get Dave some new strings, after having lunch with Edith. Oh, even then we left at the same time Charlotte was strolling out of the same place, we hadn't realized she was there. 1 LOVE running into Christians out "in the wild" and I make a big deal about it, like they are long lost friends (which they are!). So if you don't like the fuss and you see me first, well, maybe you should hide!

When [ watch TV now and then, I see people that resemble some of you. One of us, I won't say who, resembles a pirate in that Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Princess Fiona showed up in Shrek, which of course reminded me of our own Fiona. I watched an old black and white movie where the main character said "Oh, my heart my heart!", guess who that made me think of right away! Some Disney movie had this quiet, polite mom that just loved heavy Rock and Roll. I can't help but hear "Nascar" and not immediately think of three ladies who are really into that, and I've gone so far as to buy chocolate cars wrapped in toil for them because they just made me think of them and grin.

What am I trying to say? Well, someone once asked me how I came up with these bulletins, and I pointed out that if you look for him God is everywhere. The neat thing is, you dear people are also very much in my thoughts and prayers, and not just on the Lord's day. I hope you think of me and my family now and then, too, and not just when some big stupid ugly ogre hits the screen in front of you!
