Take action!!!
Take action!!!

As most everyone may know, I'm really into music. Writing, listening, whatever! I've been in several bands and cut a few records and played shows all around New England. It's definitely something I could do for the rest of my life.

But a well-written song never comes by a mistake, not usually. At least I'd have to say that my style of music writing is all in my head. Most of the songs I write will come first in my head, and I'll either pick up my guitar and figure out what I'm listening to or I'll attempt to get it stuck in my head by running through the melody several times. all I'm saying is that it takes action to get where we need to go.

My dad always told me that you can accomplish any goal you for yourself through actions. If you take what you're doing seriously, then you'll take action in completing it. How could I possibly write a song without physically picking up a guitar and playing it out? Just doesn't happen.

For a while I was really shaky on my Christianity. Wondering why I doze off in church and never be truly focused on what was being taught. Yeah, sometimes listening is tough, but not every time, and I really felt distant. I'm sure at some time we all have.

What I realized was that my relationship with God didn't aexactly exist. It wasn't much at all. We need to take actions if we want to have a good relationship with God. This includes prayer, studying, singing, and bonding with other saints. Taking actions towards your goals. You can't get anywhere with God without talking to him. And after that, the rest will surely come. The more you study, the more the word will be easier to understand. You'll figure out patterns and words that will be reused with what you've already figured out. It all fits together.

We need to be excited to worship God. Taking actions for him and towards our goal, heaven. You can't get anywhere by sitting back in church and being dull. Never make coming to church a habit, because that's not its purpose. It's a commandment from the true and living God.

Remember, we are God's servants, and servants are not to be lazy. We need to be healthy, active servants. Seriously, it works for anything, from writing songs to having a healthy relationship with God. Be zealous for God. There's no reason not to be excited about Him and everything he stands for. He's always there for us. So be good servants, run a good race, and keep God first in your life. It will be truly worth it in the end!

Matthew 23:1-3 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not according to their works, for they say, and do not."

Matthew 7:24-27 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

John 9:4 "I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work."

James 2:15-18 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works. " Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

John 6:27-29 "Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him." Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."

Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven."
